Forgo the desire to understand

Today I forgo the desire of understanding life for what it is
I’m not sure if its giving up, or just growing out of that desire
But now I know, as much as there can be understood
Much more of it can never be so
People’s actions are often illogical
Some of those are repeated
Making sense for some
Leaving the rest helpless and wary
It has only brought me more suffering
Trying to understand why certain things happen over and over
So today
I forgo the desire to understand
I wish I didn’t have to
I wish I could have raveled that mystery round it
But today
I’m just too tired to try anymore
Maybe one day
the answer will come to my door and I’ll understand
But for now
I forgo the desire to understand life for what it is

اذا المرء لا يرعاك الا تكلفا .:. فدعه ولا تكثر عليه التاسفا
ففي الناس ابدال وفي الترك راحة .:. وفي القلب صبر للحبيب ولو جفا
فما كل من تهواه يهواك قلبه .: . ولا كل من صافيته لك قد صفا
اذا لم يكن صفو الوداد طبيعة .:. فلا خير في ود يجيء تكلفا

Broken Strings

I have learned to ignore it all
The pain, sorrow, misery, and drama in my life

For so long
Shoving it away
Denying its existence
Avoiding the direct contact with it

I have got used to do that for so long
Even when I feel the itchiness of a hidden pain
I wouldn’t be able to recall why is it there

I can no longer understand it
And therefore
I’m not able to express it anymore

And now
If faced by everything that I’ve been running away from
I won’t even realize it’s mine
It will petrify my senses
It will break me down
Because it strums on every string
On that broken strings guitar

I don’t miss the way you look; I miss the way you made me look at things differently.

It’s not your voice that I miss, it’s the intellectual conversations we used to have that I miss.

I don’t miss us; I miss the way our brains interacted on a total different altitudes.

Yes, all that constitute who you are, but believe me, I don’t miss you, I just miss who I was back when I was with you.

I absolutely loved this quote which I found online as part of “Eat, Pray, Love”:

The Train & the Flower..

I feel like a train passed by me so damn fast that it blew away that beautiful flower on the side I was trying to reach.

Perhaps the train was the time, and that beautiful flower was my life..

I have found that life is a one big theme park, and you can only enjoy it if you find the right rides for you with the right crowd.

Find what inspires you, discover what you love doing in life, and surround yourself with the people you love, because life is too short to spend it any other way.
